Westfield Area Head Starts Registration

WESTFIELD – Westfield Area Head Start is now recruiting children to participate in the program for the 2010-2011 school year. Head Start is a family oriented preschool program for low income families. The program offers four-hour, school year classrooms as well as an extended day/full year program for enrolled families with childcare vouchers. Meals and snacks are provided and limited transportation is available at some sites. Support services for families include information and referrals to community resources, home visits, Family Fun Nights, family literacy activities, parenting education and other educational workshops. Westfield Area Head Start provides many other opportunities for parental involvement and leadership opportunities in the program.
Westfield Area Head Start currently operates centers in Westfield (562-0586), West Springfield (746-3847) and Agawam (789-1784). Call the main site in Westfield or the center nearest you for application information.
