National Census Day
WESTFIELD – April 1st is National Census Day and the Westfield Senior Center is celebrating with a “Stand Up And Be Counted” Party! Older adults can bring their Census Form to the Senior Center, 40 Main Street, anytime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and staff will assist them in completing the form. Snacks will be available and anyone completing a form will have his or her name entered into a drawing for a door prize. The United States Constitution requires a national census once every ten years for the purpose of reapportioning the House of Representatives. In addition, census data play an important part in guiding funding for essential community services such as those offered through the Council On Aging. So bring your Census Form to the Westfield Senior Center on April 1st and the staff will help you to stand up and be counted!
